Chirping noise when accelerating

Oct 19, 2019 · The chirping noise is not evident when idling. I don’t hear it on acceleration but that could be because I can’t hear it over the big engine noise. I hear it on deceleration and only once the engine is warm...say after 20 miles at interstate speeds. It’s basically audible when I take my foot off the accelerator. The noise sounds like a chirp or a rattle and occurs when going over bumps or rough spots in the pavement. It seems unrelated to speed, or whether the vehicle is cornering or going straight. I've replaced the struts (which had become very soft), upper strut mount/bearing, outer tie rod ends and stabilizer bar links. Step 5 – Drivetrain noise: U-joint clunk. RE: Chirping Sound Our bikes have no "cable" for the speedo. It is a wire. The chirp is from the sending unit. Repack it with wheel bearing grease. That means fill it up with the stuff. Chirping noise will be gone. Thank you GW.

Sep 08, 2013 · I can't detect it under hard acceleration, but this may be due to engine noise. It happens during light acceleration, cruising and overrun coasting. But, it seems to stop during braking. Pads and rotors look OK. No obvious scoring or heat damage. Rear brakes had new rotors, pads and calipers about 5k ago. Fronts are older.

May 29, 2020 · Take the intake off and see if the throttle body is dirty at all. A dirty throttle body can also cause whistling sounds. I'm positive it's your intake though. Check all the connections and make sure it's tight after you check the throttle body.

If its just chirping the tires when you rev it high, most likely its the automatic resistor but don't quote me on that (little silver box on the driver side fender under the hood). it will send full pressure to the trans and make it shift hard and fast. but it is possible your trans is going on top of the resistor being bad.
